Real estate agents face a significant challenge when marketing vacant or poorly furnished properties. Traditional staging is expensive, time-consuming, and impractical for many listings. Buyers struggle to visualize the potential of empty rooms, leading to lower engagement on property portals like Rightmove and fewer viewings booked.

Imagined Home needed a solution that would allow agents and private sellers to instantly transform their property photos with virtual staging, furniture removal, and complete room redesigns - all while maintaining the authentic dimensions and characteristics of the actual space.

We developed a comprehensive full-stack solution combining modern web technologies with cutting-edge AI image generation. The key challenge was ensuring generated images remained true to the actual room dimensions while providing creative flexibility in design styles.

Modern Web Application

Built on Next.js with Supabase for the backend, the platform provides a seamless user experience. Real estate agents can upload property photos, select transformation types, and receive professionally staged images within minutes.

Custom AI Image Pipeline

We engineered a sophisticated image generation pipeline using Stable Diffusion models hosted on Replicate, with FastAPI services running on Fly.io for processing. The system handles multiple transformation types:

• Virtual Staging - Add furniture and decor to empty rooms
• Decluttering - Remove existing furniture and items
• Style Transfer - Reimagine spaces in different interior design styles
• Room Enhancement - Improve lighting and ambiance

Intelligent Processing

Google's Gemini was integrated to analyze room characteristics and guide the generation process, ensuring outputs maintained architectural accuracy while achieving the desired aesthetic transformation.
